1847 Stone Milling

1847 Stone Milling was founded with the idea of delivering fresh, organic flour to Canadians from coast-to-coast. In 2014, family members Sasha, Melissa, and Trevor started 1847 Stone Milling in the small town of Fergus, ON when they restored the heritage barn on their family farm and imported a grist mill from Austria.
As farmers, Sasha, Melissa, and Trevor know the importance of the food they grow. 1847 Stone Milling has been recognized by Foodland Ontario, as crops grown in Ontario, and they are proud of that recognition. Their family is proud to help feed their community and communities across Canada with the crops they grow. Over the past several years, 1847 Stone Milling has continued to expand to provide homes with an even broader selection of speciality grains. By sourcing the highest quality Canadian grains and milling them as freshly as possible, 1847 Stone Milling is confident that the outcome will be flour that you are proud to bake with.
Not every bag of flour starts with planting a tree, but thanks to the mill that is 100% powered by solar, 1847 Stone Milling is doing just that! The carbon offset from solar power alone is equivalent to planting two trees each day: by the end of the year, that is equivalent to saving forty acres of Canadian forest! Your baking will taste even better knowing that the flour behind it is keeping our planet healthy.
