Cullen's Foods was started by Ben, who studied agriculture in Ridgetown, Ontario, with the idea of connecting organic farmers more directly with the homes that eat their food. The beans are certified organic by EcoCert Canada, and 1% of sales supports the S.H.A.R.E. Agriculture Foundation's work with small-scale farmers in South and Central America.
These black beans are grown by Ontario farmers and canned with no salt added, so they are ready for the weeknight pot. Stir them into chili, tacos and burrito bowls, simmer them into soup, or mash them for a quick bean dip.
