Take the guesswork out of your cheese board. This bundle brings together three cheeses from Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese in Woodstock, Ontario, made with milk from the family's own dairy farm, and a jar of Spade & Spoon's Hot Red Pepper Jelly. All you need is the board and the crackers or accompaniments you love.
How many will this serve? 12 people when served with other grazing foods (about 1.5oz per person), or 6 people when nothing else is served (about 3oz per person).
The cheeses
Brigid's Brie: a soft surface ripened cow's milk cheese, free of stabilizers and preservatives and sold with a 'best between' date. Each batch is aged six weeks and handled gently to keep its creamy centre.
5 Brothers Firm: a hand crafted washed rind cheese that combines traits of Gouda and Appenzeller, aged on cedar planks. Creamy and rich with sweeter overtones, and it pairs well with Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc or a Pilsner.
Dark Side of the Moo: a mild, creamy, buttery cheese modelled on the Swiss Mutschli, soaked for four days in Dark Side Chocolate Stout from Upper Thames Brewery in Woodstock, then aged four months. Lovely on its own and a great melter.
