Description

At Spade & Spoon, a family farm in Trent Hills, Northumberland County, Blythe Weber and Adam Smith grow what they can and turn it into small-batch preserves. When they need more, it comes from neighbouring and family farms they trust.

Ontario rhubarb takes the lead here, with a little orange for brightness, which is why the farm calls it their local marmalade. It is tart and lively on cream cheese and crackers, spooned over shortbread, or stirred into plain yogurt in spring.
