Kendal Hills Farm is a 70 acre family farm near Orono, where Dave and Emily raise their chickens on pasture. The birds spend their days out on grass, grazing on grubs and insects, and roost in the evenings. They are fed non-GMO, non-medicated feed, and the farm raises them under the Chicken Farmers of Ontario Artisanal Chicken Program, which lets small farms raise birds to a higher standard.
Four bone-in, skin-on drumsticks to a pack. Roast them hot for crisp skin, braise them with fall squash and apples, or grill a batch for a weekend gather with friends.
