Kara and Daryl Enright farm near Tweed, Ontario, a fourth-generation family raising a small herd of beef cattle on land where their own crops feed the animals. These short ribs are cut about three inches long.
They are simple to prepare. Place the ribs in a slow cooker, fresh or frozen, on low for about five to six hours, then drain and add your favourite rib sauce for a meal the whole table will gather around.
