Cullen's Foods was started by Ben, who studied agriculture in Ridgetown, Ontario, and buys organic pulses from Canadian farmers he knows, including farm families on the Saskatchewan prairies. The lentils are certified organic by EcoCert Canada.
Green lentils have a slight peppery taste and hold their shape when cooked gently. These are canned with no salt added, so they are ready for soups and summer salads, or for a quick lentil side with herbs and a splash of vinegar. Warm them in broth for a simple supper.
