The farm is named Shki Maajitaawin Gitigaan, which translates to New Beginnings Farm.

This is a First Nations farm staffed with community members. The goal of the farm is food sovereignty. The vision for the Mississauga Curve Lake First Nation is self sufficiency for the community.
