A bold blend of fine spices define this traditional chai. One of our most popular teas, this masala chai infusion features bold cardamom, clove, and cinnamon notes. A perfect brew for any time of day, served with milk. Add a drizzle of honey or a sprinkling of sugar to amplify the flavour.

Quick Chai: Measure 1 tsp of loose tea and add to a tea filter or strainer (or use one tea bag). Steep in 8-12 oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Add a splash of milk and sweeten if desired.

Traditional Method:  Add  two tea bags to a pot with 5oz water, and 5oz milk. Heat and stir and bring to a bare simmer. Reduce heat (the liquid should stay hot, but never boil) and let steep for 15 - 30 minutes. Remove bags, or strain loose tea using a fine mesh strainer into a mug. This longer steeping method produces a spicier and 'fuller' final product. Sweeten if desired.

Iced Chai Recipe: Steep 2 tsp (or two tea bags) of this tea in 6oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Sweeten if desired. At this point you can chill the tea in the freezer for 10 minutes (remove tea leaves or tea bags first) or pour into a glass over ice slowly. (The ice will partially dissolve) Add chilled milk of your choice and enjoy! Delicious served with a cinnamon sugar rim.

At Pluck, we make delicious teas each day in our very own production facility. We take great care to source fresh, high quality ingredients for our teas directly from farmers and producers that we know and trust.

The first Pluck teas were blended with dried fruits and flowers purchased from farmers at a local market in Toronto. From day one, our company committed to sustainable and ethical sourcing as our Tea for Good promise to our customers.

As we have grown, this commitment has never wavered. We are very proud of our supply chain, and the incredible people behind the teas we make.

While the tea plant itself (camellia sinensis) does not grow in Canada, several ingredients that we use in our tea blends are sourced right here in our own back yard.

Some examples of Canadian ingredients include:

Citrus peel, dried and upcycled from our friends at Chaser's Juice

Lavender from the sun drenched fields of the Prince Edward County Lavender farm

Cacao shells left over from our bean to bar friends at Chocosol

Cranberries sourced and dried in Nova Scotia

Ginseng from an Ontario ginseng farm
