Pierogi House opened in Kitchener, Ontario in 2015, built on the family recipes of Irena Kotas, known as Babcia, who grew up in southeast Poland where pierogi were a staple. The pierogies are hand pinched in that tradition.
The Bacon Gouda pairs smoky bacon and gouda in a soft potato filling. Boil them, then crisp them in butter with sliced onions and serve with sour cream, or set them beside roasted fall vegetables.
