Pierogi House opened in Kitchener, Ontario in 2015, built on the family recipes of Irena Kotas, known as Babcia, who grew up in southeast Poland where pierogi were a staple. The pierogies are hand pinched in that tradition.
The Maple Bacon is a sweet and savoury take on a potato filling. Boil them, then pan fry in butter until golden and serve with sour cream, or alongside fried apples for a fall plate.
