Rustic Cookie Mix - 500g

Grainstorm Heritage Baking is a family owned workshop in Ontario's Mennonite farm country, where certified organic spelt, kamut and oat kernels are milled slowly between two slabs of Carolina granite, then mixed and vacuum sealed within hours so the fresh-milled flavour is still there when you bake. The Rustic Cookie Mix puts that spelt, kamut and oat blend to work, with a nice chew and a subtle snap.

It is a sturdy base for chocolate chip, peanut butter and sandies, or press it into pan bars. Stir in chocolate chips, raisins or chopped dried fruit, scoop a dozen to a sheet and flatten them with a fork. A bag makes 24 to 36 cookies, enough for the lunch boxes and the cookie jar.
