Silverskin
It has take us many years to develop this softneck garlic into a successful yielding variety. Spanish is a Silverskin variety in the Softneck group. It does not have multiple layers of cloves like Artichoke Softnecks but the bulb is divided into two sections and the stalk is semi rigid. The flavours and spiciness are very mild and is most suitable to those with difficulty digesting raw garlic. SP with grey string
Marchand and Corin of Garlicloves began planting garlic in 2012 with only one dozen Ontario bulbs. They spent the next several years collecting varieties and keeping meticulous data on each one. Today they grow their incredible garlic in the Kawartha Lakes, and in the Minden/Haliburton area.
