House of Empanadas was created in 2005 when Nicolas Tallarico, a gifted chef, left Argentina and moved to Toronto, armed with his mother's recipes and a dream - to bring the excellence of empanadas to Canada. The House of Empanadas was destined for artisan and taste greatness.
Nicolas began selling empanadas through House of Empanadas to a vendor at the Brickworks Market each Saturday, and then opened a booth at the Sunday Distillery District Market. Soon after, they became regulars at many different farmers markets across the city. Inspired by the warm embrace of Toronto, House of Empanadas began creating new and exciting combinations of flavours, with a heavy emphasis on savoury flavours that blended the beautiful tastes of Argentina and Canada.
House of Empanadas sources locally and are devoted to using sustainable and ethical ingredients. House of Empanadas has created a fresh take on frozen cuisine by balancing quality ingredients, unique taste, and ethics to create a memorable gastronomic experience with ready to bake at home empanadas.
