1847 Stone Milling began in 2014, when family members Sasha, Melissa and Trevor restored a heritage barn on their family farm in Fergus, Ontario and brought in an Austrian grist mill. Every flour is cold stone milled in a solar powered mill, certified organic and non-GMO, and left unfortified, so there is nothing in the bag but the grain.
Daily Grind is the everyday flour, a swap for all-purpose that keeps the flavour, light brown colour and naturally occurring vitamins and minerals of the grain. At 11% protein, use it cup for cup in cookies, quick breads, pancakes and fall fruit crumbles.
