These living greens can be snipped, rinsed and enjoyed right from your counter top!

Mustard greens have a spicy mustard flavour, with bi-coloured feathery leaves, and are great in a green salad, sandwich or wraps. They are also excellent in a stir-fry or curry.

To care for your living greens:

  • Remove the plant from the packaging and place on a countertop.
  • Keep at a temperature between 12-21°C.
  • Place in indirect sunlight (lighting in a room will help if there is little sunlight available).
  • Water when soil feels dry. 
     

Watering Instructions:

  • Place plant in a saucer or bowl.
  • Water gently on the soil at the base of the plant.
  • If the plant and soil are dry the water may run through the soil and into the saucer below. If this occurs, let the plant sit in the water in the saucer for 20 minutes so that the soil can absorb the water from the bottom up and rehydrate. Follow up by draining the water from the saucer so that the soil and roots can have a chance to dry up again.
  • This process allows the plants to get the water they need without overwatering.
  • Check the plant daily to see if it needs to be watered again.
