Sargent Family Dairy has a deeply ingrained, generational love for dairy farming. The knowledge and passion to care for Jersey cows began with the original Bruce Sargent in the early 1900's, and runs through the family to this day. The Sargent family could think of no better lifestyle than working together, as a family, on their beautiful property, to raise cows and create great milk!
The Sargent family has always enjoyed their milk, straight from the farm, and are excited to share their pasture-raised fresh Jersey milk with you. Jersey milk has a naturally high cream content, and is rich in colour. Everything that the Sargent Family Dairy produces is handmade and minimally processed, the only thing that they add to their milk is vitamins and carefully selected flavours.
How does milk delivery work?
All of Sargents Family Dairy milk is delivered in glass bottles. During checkout, a $3.00 deposit will be added for each bottle. When you return your clean bottles along with any other reusable packaging and our driver will record your return and your account will receive a credit on Friday.
We restock the market every Friday with the food being harvested and made by more than 100 small producers. Home delivery is free for orders over $100.
Sargent Family Dairy is a family-owned dairy farm and creamery located in Enniskillen, Ontario, with roots dating back to Irish immigrants who settled in Canada in the late 1800s. For generations, the Sargent family has been dedicated to raising Jersey cows, a breed known for producing exceptionally rich, nutritious milk. Today, Tim and Sharyn Sargent and their children continue this tradition, crafting fresh milk and artisan cheeses in their on-farm processing facility.
Milk travels directly from the dairy barn to the creamery, where it is carefully pasteurized, packaged, and prepared for delivery, ensuring outstanding freshness and quality. Jersey milk naturally contains higher levels of protein, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin B12, and butterfat, resulting in superior nutrition and flavour. The family is also committed to environmentally responsible farming, with Jersey cows requiring fewer resources and producing a smaller carbon footprint.
