Description

Spade & Spoon sits on a family farm between Hastings, Campbellford and Warkworth in Northumberland County, where Blythe Weber and Adam Smith make preserves in small batches. Their maple bush, fields and garden shape what ends up in the jar.

Fresh-pressed Ontario apple cider and rosemary make a jelly that works at the cheese board and the roasting pan. Serve it with crackers and a sharp cheddar, brush it over pork or chicken as a finishing glaze, or stir a spoonful into a fall pan sauce.
