Spade & Spoon works a maple bush of about 20 acres on their family farm in Trent Hills, Northumberland County, and Blythe Weber and Adam Smith turn that syrup into small-batch treats.

This maple butter is spreadable maple syrup, creamy and sweet with a single ingredient. Spread it on warm croissants, muffins, crumpets or English muffins, or stir a spoonful into a bowl of oatmeal on a cold morning. Stir before using if it separates.
