Description

On a family farm in Trent Hills, Northumberland County, Blythe Weber and Adam Smith make Spade & Spoon preserves in small batches, with a maple bush, fields and garden close at hand and neighbouring farms filling the gaps.

Ontario apple cider is mulled with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and cardamom, then set into a jelly that tastes like October. Spread it on croissants, serve it with tea and cheese, or add a spoonful to morning oatmeal.
