Forbes Wild Foods is a Toronto company founded by Jonathan Forbes, with a shop on the Danforth and a network of pickers and berry farmers across Canada.
Sea buckthorn is not a native berry, but it has naturalized and is now grown across much of Canada. This compote is smooth and velvety with a bright, sweet and sour citrus tang. Spoon it over crepes or toast, use it in a marinade, or serve it alongside roast pork or chicken.
