1847 Stone Milling began in 2014, when family members Sasha, Melissa and Trevor restored a heritage barn on their family farm in Fergus, Ontario and brought in an Austrian grist mill. Every flour is cold stone milled in a solar powered mill, certified organic and non-GMO, and left unfortified, so there is nothing in the bag but the grain.

Daily Bread is milled from certified organic hard red wheat at 13.5% protein, which gives a smooth, elastic dough and a good rise for sandwich loaves, boules and dinner rolls. Freshly milled flour can take a spoonful of vital wheat gluten per cup for an even fluffier loaf, or leave it out for a hearty, rustic crumb. A warm loaf is the best reason to gather everyone at the table.
