Lunar Rhythm Gardens is an organic farm in Janetville, Ontario, in the Kawartha Lakes. The farmer grew up on this land, bought the family farm in 2016, and sells vegetables, meat and pantry staples through farm shares, markets and an on-farm stand.
Quincy is an heirloom pinto with a tan, speckled coat and a creamy, earthy flavour. It is a natural for the slow cooker, where it turns tender and takes on whatever it simmers with. Soak overnight, then make chili, refried beans, soups or a weekend pot of beans.
