Maris Peer potatoes are not the same variety as Maris Piper potatoes.
This variety are small salad potatoes with a light, fresh flavour. They have light yellow skin and flesh, and are perfect for light boiling. If boiled too long they fall apart. They can also be steamed, roasted whole, and used in hot and cold salads.
This variety is not good for mashing or pureeing as they are too waxy.
