By pre-ordering a bag of Red Thumb potatoes, you're letting us know how many to order from the farm. Once we have the potatoes onsite, we will send them with your next delivery!

Considered one of the best tasting fingerlings, this variety has rosy-buff skin and deep yellow flesh blushed with red. The tubers grow to a medium size, about 6-7" long, and holds their shape when cooked. They are best used for salads, but can also be grilled, roasted over coals, steamed, boiled, and fried. Their taste is creamy, earthy, and buttery.

This is a modern variety that resembles original red potato cultivars in Peru, and has been adapted to grow here in Canada.

Red Thumb fingerling potatoes were one of five varieties of potatoes planted in the White House kitchen garden by First Lady Michelle Obama and volunteer girl scouts in 2012. The garden planting was a part of the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign which focuses on encouraging exercise and healthy eating among school-aged children.
