Swiss Chard has broad wavy and crinkled green leaves with crunchy stalks and veins that flow throughout the foliage. The leaves are succulent and tender, with a flavour that is mildly salty.
We recommend enjoying Swiss Chard in a salad with olives, mozzarella, and lemon; or cooked into a stir fry with other veggies!
Swiss Chard is an excellent source of, potassium, iron, vitamin A and C, calcium, and fibre. Low in calories, one cup cooked chard contains about 35 calories.
