'Rose Marie' potatoes are a fingerling variety with smooth, glossy skin and creamy pinkish-white flesh with a cream coloured ring around the outside. The flesh has a moist, waxy texture with a buttery, slightly tart taste, making it best suited to boiling, steaming, and oven roasting, as well as pink potato salads. The thin skin requires no peeling, and this variety has high yields and is great for container growing.
Rose Marie is a cross between 1Ratte (Ratte x Baltica) and 1 Highland Burgundy Red (Highland Burgundy Red x Huamantango).
