Snow Peas have a slightly less sweet and more earthy taste than snap peas. They also have a more tender, flatter, and thinner pod wall encasing smaller pea seeds. Snow peas are usually ready for harvest in Ontario in mid summer.

Snow Peas are a great pea to add to stir-frys and salads due to their thin pod walls. They can also be enjoyed fresh, or can be dried, frozen, or canned for longer storage and use in the off-season months.

Snow Peas are a type of sugar pea. Sugar Peas are a type of pea with a tender pod shell which can be eaten whole, pod, seeds and all. Modern day cultivars of the pea plant are descended from the wild pea, which originated from the Mediterranean area and the Near East. Garden and Sugar Peas are an innovative luxury that was developed in Early Modern Europe. Snow Peas are predominantly used in Asian cuisines.

Founded by Jessica Foote in 2008, Lunar Rhythm Gardens has been growing vegetables for 12 years now, six of which the vegetables have been Certified Organic. In conjunction with vegetables we also farm with horses, run a small cow calf operation, raise pigs, chickens, and egg layers on non-GMO feed. Our goal is diversity, as it is in nature, and replicating the cycles of life. Growing nutrient dense food with sustainable long term practices.

Produce we have available during the season varies! But we grow a wide variety. We will have on offer everything from A to Z, that can be grown in Canada.

We will also have available our beef, and pork. Though it is available on a first come first serve basis.
