'Linzer Delikatess' is a mid-season, small and oval potato variety with smooth yellow skin and waxy yellow flesh. This fingerling variety has a sweet, nutty flavour and buttery texture that is good for boiling, salads, and frying, but not good for potato chips or fries due to its low dry matter content. This is a firm-cooking variety with low starch content.

This Austrian variety was developed by Saatbau Linz in 1992, and was made very popular in France by HDC Lamotte, a French Company in Drome department. It was a cross between the 'Sieglinde' and 'Zuchtstamm (Zaailing)' varieties, and is maintend by the Potato Research Institute Ltd.
